# Farewell and Overseas-Move Gifts: Meaningful Singapore Keepsakes

**By DORS SG** · 2026-09-26

**Singapore keepsakes for colleagues and loved ones moving overseas**

For someone moving overseas, choose a farewell gift around three things: a connection you share, something they will use, and the space they have to take it with them. These seven ideas at DORS range from small colleague gifts to a tray for a new home. Start with the recipient’s routine, then decide whether a scent, an accessory or a household object belongs in it.

## A Small Gift for a Mahjong Friend

### [CLEAN FOLKS CLUB](https://dors.com.sg/collections/clean-folks-club)

The [Mahjong Soap Tiles Gift Set](https://dors.com.sg/products/mahjong-soap-tiles-set) **(S$24)** turns a familiar game into handmade soaps with a sweet orange scent. DORS lists a printed drawer box, so the set gives you a place to tuck in a farewell message. It makes sense for a friend whose mahjong evenings are part of your time together. Choose it because that connection is personal to them, and check that they enjoy scented soap before buying.

## An Everyday Farewell Gift for a Colleague

### [TALKING TOES](https://dors.com.sg/collections/talking-toes)

The [Local Breakfast Sock](https://dors.com.sg/collections/talking-toes/products/talking-toes-local-breakfast-sock) **(S$15.90)** features kaya butter toast, soft-boiled eggs and kopi illustrations against blue and yellow. It is a small farewell gift for a colleague who shares your breakfast routine, or a friend who will miss their usual coffee-shop order. Pair it with a note about your favourite breakfast stop together. Choose the recipient’s size using the linked product’s size guide before ordering.

## A Pouch for the Move and the New Routine

### [SINGLAPA](https://dors.com.sg/collections/singlapa)

The [Singapore A-Z Pouch](https://dors.com.sg/products/singapore-a-z-pouch) **(S$27.90)** combines a zip closure with watercolour illustrations of Singapore landmarks and local references. It can give loose items a place inside a larger bag, making it a practical choice for a friend sorting belongings before departure. Add a note about a familiar detail in the print. Check the usable space against what they plan to carry, especially if you want to put another small gift inside.

## A Familiar Detail for a New Commute

### [KELLY SER ATELIER](https://dors.com.sg/collections/kelly-ser-atelier)

The [Travel Tumbler Singapore Story](https://dors.com.sg/products/kelly-ser-atelier-city-in-nature-travel-tumbler) **(S$45)** brings Singapore illustrations into an object the recipient can use at work or at home. The brand lists a 500 ml, double-walled stainless steel tumbler with a cap designed for sipping from any angle. Choose it for someone who already carries a reusable drink container. Before gifting, compare its shape with their bag or cup holder and keep the supplied care instructions with it.

## A Fragrance for Someone Whose Taste You Know

### [SINGAPORE MEMORIES](https://dors.com.sg/collections/singapore-memories)

The [Singapore Girl 20ml](https://dors.com.sg/products/singapore-memories-singapore-girl-20ml) **(S$35)** is described by DORS with citrus, lotus, water lily and teakwood notes. The 20 ml format is a small personal gift, but fragrance works best when you know what the recipient enjoys. If possible, let them try it before choosing. Keep the bottle protected for the journey and check the airline and departure airport’s current packing requirements; a small bottle alone does not settle how it should be carried.

## A Wearable Reminder of Marina Bay

### [STRAIT LIGHTS](https://dors.com.sg/collections/strait-lights)

The [Marina Bay Bracelet](https://dors.com.sg/products/marina-bay-bracelet) **(S$53)** uses white and gold tones in an elasticated beaded design. DORS lists 16 cm and 17 cm sizes and a drawer box with a scene card. For a friend who will miss walks around the bay, its place reference can give the gift a specific connection. Check the wrist measurement first, and keep the bracelet in its box while packing to avoid stretching or snagging it.

## A Group Gift for a New Home

### [PHOTO PHACTORY](https://dors.com.sg/collections/photo-phactory)

The [City Of Lights Marina Bay Tray](https://dors.com.sg/products/photo-phactory-city-of-lights-marina-bay-tray) **(S$145)** depicts the bay in gold on white. DORS lists a 16 by 10 inch format, so this is a choice to discuss with the recipient before the team contributes. It can suit someone who wants a visible Singapore reference in their new home and has room to transport it. Agree on packing and delivery first, and leave space around the tray for protective wrapping.

## Make the Send Off Personal

Give a group gift before the final packing day, and ask whether the recipient would prefer to collect it or arrange delivery. A short message about a shared meal, place or routine can explain why you chose the design. Keep the receipt and care information with the gift so they can check the details later.

Prices are in Singapore dollars. Confirm the current price, chosen option, packaging and availability on the linked DORS product page before ordering.
