This International Women’s Day, DORS is spotlighting three trailblazing brands—Miseico, As Intended, and Boss & Olly—each embodying the spirit of progress and empowerment.

The landscape of fashion, beauty, and wellness is evolving, and at the forefront of this transformation are female entrepreneurs redefining what it means to create with purpose. More than just business owners, these women are visionaries, changemakers, and pioneers shaping the way we shop, dress, and care for ourselves. At DORS, we are proud to champion brands led by women who are not only crafting exceptional products but also driving conversations around sustainability, conscious consumerism, and innovation.

The Beauty of Empowered Ageing: MISEICO by Michelle Chan

In an industry obsessed with youth, Michelle Chan is rewriting the narrative. The founder of MISEICO, a sustainable beauty and wellness brand, she believes ageing should be embraced, not feared. With a background in natural skincare formulation, Michelle created MISEICO to merge science with nature, developing products that promote radiant, healthy skin at every stage of life.

Her signature creation, the Lucent Brightening Multi-Active Balm, encapsulates her philosophy—an all-in-one product designed to cleanse, hydrate, and brighten, making skincare effortless yet effective. But beyond formulation, sustainability remains at the brand’s core. PETA-certified vegan and cruelty-free, MISEICO plants a tree with every purchase, ensuring that beauty is not just skin deep, but also mindful of the planet.

For Michelle, this year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Accelerate Action,” is about moving beyond good intentions and actively challenging outdated norms. “It’s about making bold choices that create lasting impact,” she says. “Whether through personal growth or advocating for sustainability, true change happens when we take meaningful action.”

Dressing the Modern Multi-Hyphenate: As Intended by Sabrina Wee

What if workwear felt as good as your favourite athleisure? That question sparked As Intended, founded by Sabrina Wee, who was frustrated with the lack of comfortable yet polished clothing for working women. Combining her background in psychology with a passion for movement and health, Sabrina spent two years developing a line of business essentials that offer activewear-level comfort without compromising on style.

As Intended is more than just a clothing brand—it’s a movement empowering modern women to embrace ease and confidence in their daily lives. “What we wear impacts how we feel,” she explains. “Our pieces are designed to move with you, not against you.” The brand continues to evolve, listening to real feedback from its community to refine its designs and ensure that every piece meets the demands of dynamic, multi-tasking women.

For Sabrina, “Accelerate Action” means breaking industry norms and designing on her own terms. “The fashion industry has long dictated what women should wear. We’re here to change that. It’s time to prioritise comfort, function, and feeling good—because when women feel their best, they perform their best.”

Pet-Friendly Meets Fashion-Forward: Boss & Olly by Geraldine Gan

What started as a personal solution for her dog’s fraying leash turned into a business that is now reshaping the pet accessories industry. Geraldine Gan, the founder of Boss & Olly, never imagined she would transition from a flight attendant to an entrepreneur, but her desire to create practical yet stylish pet gear set her on an unexpected path.

Boss & Olly is now known for its handcrafted, durable, and innovative designs—including the Hologlam Active Harness, featuring an integrated AirTag pocket for added security. But beyond aesthetics and function, the brand thrives on community-driven design, with pet owners actively contributing ideas that shape new collections.

For Geraldine, “Accelerate Action” means stepping outside of comfort zones. “I’ve learned that waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment is a myth. Every challenge we overcome is a step forward. Growth comes from taking risks and trusting the process.”
